Customer Reviews for Revolution Moving

Probably the most unprofessional company I have ever done business with.
Everything started out fine. The movers called me the morning of my move to let me know that they were on their way. They were a little ahead of schedule, which was great. They arrived and started loading up the truck and everything was wonderful. Andi, the boss, stopped by to check in and make sure things were going okay, and at this point, they were.
As the guys were loading up furniture onto the truck, one of them took it upon himself to start dismantling my futon without asking me. I'll call him Bob. This was not necessary and was a waste of my time and money.
I asked the movers multiple times if they knew where they were going, as my new address was new construction and wasn't in any GPS or mapping service yet. I asked if they needed directions. Each time they assured me that they knew where they were going, but a 30-minute drive by moving truck took over an hour. Bob called me twice because they got lost. I called Bob for a third conversation when I finally saw the truck turn the wrong way down my street.
I had paid for three moving guys instead of the usual two because the job usually gets done quicker that way. There were three guys when the truck got loaded, but only two showed up to the new house, with no real explanation as to why. I was on a tight schedule and really needed that third guy to speed things along.
I told the driver (Bob) beforehand that there may not be enough space at the new house to back the truck up into the driveway to unload, and if that's the case, to park the truck on the street and unload it from there. Well it started raining as they arrived at the new house, and so in an effort not to let my stuff get wet, Bob tried to back up into the driveway even though the truck clearly would not fit. He never asked me if I wanted this.
-- Bob was not paying attention and backed the truck up INTO my brand new house, damaging the frame of the garage and pushing it out of place. My garage door would no longer close. Bob also ran over a ladder of a construction crew working next door. Bob was also not insured by the company to be driving. --
The guys had also ignored writing on boxes that indicated "This side up" and were unloading all of those boxes sideways or upside down. At this point I decided to call Andi. He was mad at his guys and told me to hand my phone to Bob. Andi proceeds to yell while Bob yells right back in front of me. This seemed quite unprofessional. This goes on for several minutes before Bob gives me my phone back and looks quite upset that I just called his boss.
Some different employees from the company showed up a short while later to assess the situation and to apologize over and over for the damage to my house. These guys were very professional.
All in all it took almost SIX HOURS to move a less-than-average amount of stuff of two adults, from the old house to the new house.
These guys were slow moving my stuff.
The other mover guy did his best to discount the bill as much as he felt comfortable, but even after his adjustments, the hours and labor costs still weren't correct and the total was STILL $675. I wrote a check at this point because I did not have the time or means to calculate the bill out correctly, plus there was still the matter of a possible insurance claim because of the damage, and that would have to get sorted out later.
Between the damage to my garage, garage door, and the pieces to my garage shelving unit that they lost, my losses were at $355. I had to get the builders to do an emergency repair to the house so that I could get the garage door to close.
In trying to get my money back, I called Andi who said that he COULDN'T help me regarding getting my damage expenses refunded and that he was making Bob resolve the matter instead of him, the boss. Andi was actually trying to have Bob make the repairs to my house! There's no way the moving guy who damaged my house is going to be the one to fix it! Besides, it had already been fixed by my builders because it had to be - it couldn't wait. It took many calls and texts with Bob and a full 8 days before I got a refund check for $355. At one point Bob told me to meet him at a warehouse that was not the company's listed address to collect a check. I waited over an HOUR for Bob to show up, only to tell me that there was no check. Seriously? I threatened legal action. Bob showed up at my house the next night at 8:30pm with my check, 4 hours after he said he would be there. Not professional.
Andi put Bob in a really crummy situation, but Bob handled the situation extremely poorly too. Neither wanted to accept responsibility, be professional, or make things right. I had to leave out a fair amount of detail from this review. Andi is incredibly lucky my builders were able to fix the damage for so cheap, otherwise he would have been out hundreds more, if not thousands.
